NUTRITION CONSULTATION
The types and amounts of foods that we eat affect our energy levels, our moods and how we feel about ourselves. A healthy lifestyle plays a key role in keeping the body strong, supporting the immune system (the cells and proteins that defend the body against infection) and reducing risk for some diseases, such as certain kinds of heart disease and some types of cancer.
Patients and caregivers may receive free one-on-one phone and email consultations with our nutrition educator.

Health Insurance
As you all know it is a new day in America when it comes to health insurance. We are very happy to see this new day. Because, we understand the necessity of health insurance. It is the difference between life and death especially for those with pre-existing conditions. Below is the only link you will need regarding the "Obamacare" Plan or Affordable Care Act that went into effect January, 2014. There is also an additional resource link below that discusses health care coverage issues childhood cancer survivors face as they navigate higher education.
Healthcare.gov is a link to the official site of the U.S. government's health care initiative "OBAMACARE" or Affordable Care Act and provides an overview of health care options available to every citizen. This plan is fairly easy to apply for and coverage starts after an open enrollment during the first quarter of a new year. (ex. enrollment is betweern January 1st and March 31st) Click the link and reveiw ALL of your options on the health insurance marketplace including coverage and more.
